NA Honda motor oil-fouls plugs occasionally, input??
I have a friend with two non-turbo Honda jetskis. Normally they seem very durable and dependable and run great, they are a few years old, no idea on hours. But a few times per summer, the following happens, and it just makes no sense to me, wish I knew how this happens on a 4 stroke:
Ski is started, launched, runs great for an hour or two, then suddenly, a giant puff of blue smoke out the exhaust, ski starts to run poorly and loses about 20 mph and continues to smoke a bit out the exhaust. Invariably one of the four spark plugs is totally oil-fouled. We clean up the plug, fire it up, it is totally back to normal and runs great. Soooooo, what in the heck causes one cylinder to just get dumped with oil at times?? Just seems strange to me since the skis normally run great and do not burn oil ... anybody have any experience with this on the Honda motors??

Yep, contact Nitro.
I think Honda came out with a reflash for the ECU, some of the early skis ran way rich.
