Question RIVA Ultra 250X Top-Loader Intake Grate

I have basically a Riva stage 1 kit, except sponsons and RIVA Ultra 250X Top-Loader Intake Grate, I don't believe I need the sponsons because I don't plan on racing and making to tight of turns but I do like seeing top speed numbers and where I live its both rough and smooth water. Would the intake grate hold me back or make some improvements on both rough water and top end and accelleration?

From the riding you are talking about I would stay with the stock intake grate, The aftermarket ones will slow you down in the smooth, and the 250 handles the chop better than any other ski already stock for stock.

TN, I think someone has tampered with your avatars. Where is the guy with blue ski in garage?

    ahaha

I was currently running the R&D intake grate, but wasnt happy with my speed. I just switched back the OEM grate and hopefully be out this weekend to compare. As for the R&D grate, I had no problems at all. Just trying to narrow down my speed loss.

Clean the stock one up, ya won,t be disapointed......much better hookup, and don,t forget to knife edge the blades...... Tried it in both sea and lake and it,s great.......no speed loss at all...
