    R&D sponsons

i currently run stock stepped sponsons with my setup but i think the aftermarket R&D ones would handle a little better in cc racing which is what we mostly do around here, However i don't want to lose a lot of my top end because of the bigger R&D's does anyone know how much i will lose with these and is it worth it?

P.S. these are the newer R&D sponsons not the 1200 "G-force"

If you have a ski that does 70mph for example, the sponsons will effect a little top speed because more of the hull is in the water,a ski that does, just say........78mph will not be effected from sponsons because of the increased hull lift.

R & D are the best for handling with angled plates.

They will not slow you down.

WW is right, the faster you go the less the sponson affects speed. R&D is what I use on my boat.

if I can offer up a suggestion, Danny's Sponsons (do a search) have the added feature of being stepped, for racing I have always felt anything you can do to help reduce the bouncing of the ski is an advantage

Danny makes these by hand so he can provide anything you would like in the design. I use a set on my ski and I have personally owned all of different sponsons (including both R Pot and Bullet CF sponsons that are sitting on the shelf in my basement)

I agree on Danny's sponons. The R&D are very very nice but I like to be a little different.

Next time you may want to bring your old thread to the top. It helps keep the threads a little cleaner.
