    Exclamation Here's one for the GPR Guys..!!!

    Hey there Gents...

    Here's one for those that thought they'd saw almost everything Yamaha GPR related...

    Read first.. I'll post up some picture's shortly...

    OK the history of this enigma first..!!
    My buddy bought this ski last Easter time,(so a year ago now.)
    It was only on Saturday past they we decided to have a look in and about this ski..
    Generally i never gave it much notice.. (it started great, ran great, why bother..)
    Anyway the reason we decided to get in about it is..
    I've got my 05 finished now, took it out for its first run of the season..(39 degree water = not much fun)

    SO:. my buddy wants to tinker some with his now..

    OK off comes the seat. so we can check whats what...???

    I notice the cat temp probe is still plugged in..? So we pull the exhaust to check for a d-plate..
    Yup a d-plate is fitted..!! I'm thinking oh that's good..!! but wondering why no chip..??

    THEN:. i noticed a black painted set of jugs and crank cases..???
    Have a look at the side and see 66E..?? look in the gap to the next jug...another 66E..
    Then one more time at #1..!! EH..?? 66V..?? WTF..???

    At that point i'm thinking..?? whats the story with this fucker then..????

    So off comes #1 head.. An 'O' ring R&D 1300 head at that..??
    Look into the cylinder to see a flat top piston..??? (again thinking EH..????)
    Next pull the plugs out of #2 and #3 and pull off the coupler cover to turn the motor over..
    As the piston reaches BDC.. I immediately recognize 66E ports in a 66V cylinder.. (it got a steel liner.. nice fitting job..)

    While all this is going on, I'm trying to explain a little of what i'm seeing to my buddy..

    So i go fetch my digital vernier.. exactly as i suspected 80.5mm bore..!!!

    So my friends here we have a GP1200R "EFI" running GP800R cylinders with .50 oversize flattop pistons..??
    Oh don't forget using 1300 R&D O Ring 3 piece heads..

    Never mind all that for now...!!!

    Wait till you hear about the Pump/Plate/Grate Disaster...!!!

    Next I suggest we have a look and see whats going on outside the hull..!!

    So first thing to come off is the rideplate an R&D item again(?????+a little something extra)
    As my buddy is fighting with major league tight bolts, i once again notice something a little odd..??

    A 3 degree XLT nozzle..?? while looking underneath i think to myself what kind of wear ring is that..??

    At the same time i see something good in a set of R&D extended flat tabs..
    Anyway off comes the plate... Only after we took out the battery box..
    when we get the battery box out, i see a 1200 water-box.. (???????????)

    This was taken out so some heat could be applied to the rideplate inserts..
    (there was NO way the bolts were coming out intact otherwise...!!!)

    Next up was some major heat to get the pump bolts out..!!!!

    SO.... out comes the pump/ wear ring etc...

    HOLY FUCK...!!!!! what the hell is going on in there is my first thought...
    While i was looking up this ski's ass i notice the blue transom.. recognize it as the R&D pro something or other..?!

    So before this pump assembly comes out i'm thinking its got the pro shoe/grate/transom combo...?

    OH no it doesn't..!!!

    By now the pump is out on the bench, Its got a rather beat up 13/19 concord on it..

    After some major levering the prop is off... I check the pitch on my Tommy-Gauge..
    We have blade 1/. 12~18,. blade 2/. 12.5~18.5,. blade 3/. 11.5~18.. so not a great prop..!!

    I meant to take a few pictures of the bottom of the hull.. I'll do this over the weekend..!!
    (you can by now imagine the condition of the hull)

    A few other things to mention about this ski are..
    Auto drop steering nozzle.. QSTS completely removed..
    Tag Metal bars, stock sponsons,(set full down),. 1200 grate...

    OK Gentlemen, Possibility Ladies..

    What in your opinion do you think this ski performed like...???

    Out the hole..?? top speed..?? How much horse power do you think it makes etc..

    I'll post up the pictures and answers in about an hour...

    wow and i thought i got ripped off cause they sold me a ski with no servo motor in it, or cat or d-plate
    so what year is the ski?

    so its got two 66e jugs(sleeved) and one 66v jug? thats fu*kered up

    The ones of the prop in the wear ring..
    Are of a different prop to checK for clearance..??!!(SO not the beat to hell and back one..)

    A few other things to add this ski has an 05 and up exhaust system also..(so another 10 horses to add..)

    OK get guessing about HOW it performed..

    that thing even run...??

    I would say about 56mph...

    Looks like a B-plate setup from rius...is the shoe made of steel. Could be from skat trak because of the rust
