Angry How does this happen to Me twice

The cause of the problem http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52804

So the day starts off with me sanding down my pump shoe to get rid of the pieces of vanes and Add some marine tex to fill the void.

After I'm done with this I put driveshaft back in assemble everything and Head out to the lake with my NEW PROP. Arrive at the lake warm up the ski as usual and start riding to check my rpm. I did one pass and then it happened again

Look at how thin the wall of the prop is

Can this be a bad batch or something?

Does your pump shaft turn freely by hand? I everything in proper alignment? I can't believe that you had 2 bad props. Something else is wrong...

Can't tell from the picture, but those driveshaft spines look very small and flat.

Elliot, i just got Geo's text message and replied to him.

Has the engine been out for anything recently? How is the driveshaft alignment? Pump spin freely? Any woble in the pump shaft?

And yes, the splines on that shaft look worn out. Could just be the angle of the pic though?

just went and took some pics of the driveshaft. The ski ran fine with no problems with the solas 15/20r at 17lb boost. This prop broke in a different pump then the last one. Isn't the wall of the prop too thin?

The splines look great. You need to call Glen at Skat Trak Monday morning and send those pics to him to see if he can give you more input.

You said you are running 17psi of boost?

I'm thinking either a bearing is shot in the pump or engine alignment is off causing the prop to become either stuck or so hard to turn that the torque of your motor is breaking the props?

I ran the solas like that for 2 hr with no problem. Does anyone else see that the prop is being held at the splines by .0185in thats thinner than a finger nail.
