    Trim Tab ?

I am in the process of replacing my plastic '06 tabs with some older metal ones. When I pulled the plastic ones there were these spacers in each hole. When I tried to use the spacers with the new tabs the head of the bolt was hanging down below the tabs. Am I supposed to leave the spacers out or do I have to do some sort of fabbing? Thanks for any help.

When I replaced mine w/ R&D tabs, I bought new bolts, didnt use the spacers. If I recall correctly there were 2 different length bolts needed.

You dont need them for the metal ones. The correct bolt length for the metal stockers is 25mm. If you know you are going to shim them down to help bouncing dont be afraid to use longer bolts.

+1 on the longer bolts, I had an insert break trying to shim the tabs, just increase the bolt length by the size shim your using. I also use thread sealer on all the bolts.

Did your insert break while installing? I went ahead and put mine on and everything seems fine using the stock bolts.

yes it did break when reinstalling. possible left over lock tight or something. I just dont want to take the chance of them breaking since they are so small. I'm sure you'll be ok.
