    Air-flow mods ????

    I have the cowling off so nows the time to increase airflow, any suggestions from the Guru's ?
    Looks like the black pieces on the sides could be modified ?

    The right side fairing has the scoop blocked off with black plastic, cut it to match the left side. You can also drill holes in your storage bucket and the lid under the windshield. You can also remove the dryer vent hoses.

    +1... over and above seem to make no diffrence to rpm

    try removing the seat and check the gains,i found no gain in seat off

    I have done the lid holes and the bucket holes and even cut the black plastic piece like Voodoo mentioned, I just didnt know if I was missing something. I have ran without the bucket and gained 60rpm but didnt know if it was from the bucket weight or the extra air in.

    I also left the black duct hose in and just routed it different.

    Best mod I have found to these black elephant ears is to rip them off and dispose in garbage. They are designed to shroud the air intake in case of a rollover, very air constrictive.

    I don't like the way you routed the hoses, shoots the water right at the carbs! I would either route the hoses to the bottom of the ski or take them off entirely.
