    No power in water

I have a 2001 Polaris Genesis 1200 with ficht injection. The ski runs pretty good on the hose. It has poor throttle response but revs all the way up and sounds pretty good. Idle is a little ruff and sometimes dies.

Now when I put it in the water it starts and runs but has no power and won't rev past 2000 RPM and stalls when you let of the throttle.

So far I have changed the fuel, cleaned injectors, check compression, checked capacitor? What next any thoughts or ideas. I'm leaning towards EMM but I want to check a few other things first.

Have you checked the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)?

Have you downloaded the Service manual PDF via the Technical Section here?

Checked red/white wire to the injectors got 1 volt. Jumps to 36volts while running but thats still under specs of 39 - 45 volts and way under the 12 volt spec before starting. Almost positive its the voltage regulator in the EMM. Also you after shut off you can watch voltage drop from 12v down to 1v over about 30 seconds. I'm sending if off this week will let you know thanks for the help.

If you just tap the starter button (just enough to turn it over, but not enough to start) does the 12V appear at the injectors?

Is it supposed to be 12 volts before starting, or during cranking/starting?

From what I know thus far, red/white wire to injectors should read 12v before, 22v during start, and 39v -45v while running. I sent it to DFI Tech. best thing is if EMM is ok you only pay shipping. I would bet money it is the voltage regulator which is inside the EMM on this ski. I will let all know as soon as I find out.
Thank you for all the help.

Some other things that could be a possibility.

    1. Crank index. If it's out, it will be a turd in the water.
    2. And don't forget exhaust hoses. Make sure you don't have an obstruction or collapsed hose.
