    Fuel Problem-Polaris Virage 2000

I just un-winterized by Polaris this past weekend. I have a fuel issue. If I pour gasoline directly into the carburator it starts immediately and runs like a champ. Unfortunately, it is short lived. As soon as this gasoline is burned it stalls. Apparently, Fuel is not getting from the tank to the carb. Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed. I tried to locate a service manual for the 2000 Virage but have been unable to locate.

    Welcome to the Hulk!

You can download the 2002 Polaris Service Manual here.
Most of the info will apply to your 200 Virage.
Have a look at the diagnostic procedures.

Which exact model of Virage do you have? Is it fuel injected, 2 or 3 cylinder?

Was the fuel stabilized (Sta-Bil added to the tank) when it was put away? Where there any problems before it was stored?

How long have you owned it?

Welcome! Just the obvious,Did the fuel selector valve get turned of?
Pull a line from a carb and see if your getting any fuel during cranking.

    Welcome th the Green Hulk!!

i wouldn't start that very often with gas down the carb unless you are putting oil in with the gas.

My guess is that this is a 700 twin with a single carb. Did you use stablizer in the fuel last season? Is there fuel (or water) in the fuel/water separator?

Might be a good time to go through the fuel system and replace the fuel lines, and clean/inspect/renuild the carb as needed.

Let us know what you find.

    carb

if its a twin then it has a single carb and a single pump, pulse line might have come off or the diaphram in the pump is bad or it has a stuck check valve in it
