    01GPR Impeller Housing

The wear ring is slightly gauged in my impeller housing. Do you guys recommend having this fixed by someone such as www.impros.com or should i get a new/used one? I really don't want to spend $255 on a new OEM one.

I did find some new OEM ones being sold on PWCToday for $155 shipped. I guess that's better than $255 from Yamaha. Why isn't a repair okay? Do you have any experience with having one rebuilt?

with a repair they will probably just glue a new liner on and be done with it,, i dont like that..

no ive never had one rebuilt.... and never would,,, why rely on some joker to fix it when you could buy new for not much more,, plus you'll have a spare if anyone needs a core....

Thanks for the advice. I'll stay from the repair option.

Your OEM can be rebuilt with a "thicker than oem" stainless ring for around the same price as a new oem. performance is the same. longevity is the same. There are also "places" tha can bore your old housing and install the plactic ring for cheaper than a new aftermarket housing.

I've read about the plastic rings but how often do those need to be replaced? Right now i'm leaning towards buying a new OEM housing from a guy on PWCtoday for $155.
