    wat speed should i be hitting????

    i think for all work i have i should be hitting higher speeds. wat could be the problem?

    ported 1300 with valves
    riva efi
    riva heads 175 comp. running wth av gas
    riva pump shoes
    d plate
    3 degree timing key
    14/20 prop
    05 pump
    jetworks double mod
    r&d 800 intake grate
    r&d rideplate mod 4
    v force 3 reeds with spacer
    free flow
    max speed 74.9 wtf

    the rpms was at 71?? with the 87 mm nozel and a 14/20 set back
    with the new pump and new prop i have no idea??

    you NEED a tach,,,, the stock tach wont do you any good

    Are you using a good Tach?? not the stock one. What AV gas are you using as the octane rating is different.

    no i dont go by the stock crap i borrowed a tiny tach wat are the rpms suppoesed to be at?
    i use 100 av gas

    7200 range give or take a few tenths

    You are going to have to run better fuel with 175 compression.

    100LL (Blue) avgas
    Contrary to popular belief this isn't 100-octane fuel. Aviation fuels are rated on an ASTM Lean/Rich performance number system. 100LL is rated at 91/96 By comparison; Unocal Leaded race gas that is used in lots of spec fuel racing classes has performance number of 112/160. 100LL is closer to 91 octane (MON); by comparison VP C12 is rated at 108 (MON).
