    Exclamation Cheap Bolts!

    I just went out and put my pump shoe in and busted a bolt!

    OK I got inserts, so i pull the insert get the bolt out.
    Put the insert back in with pleanty of 5200 (as always I get the STUFF all over my HANDS! )get the bolts started get it (the insert in postion). tighten the bolts..... SNAP!
    I have been turning bolts for a good part of thirty gosh darn years. I know How to turn a bolt.
    I even used NEW Bolts..
    GOT TO BE SOME CHEAP A$$ CHINA CRAP!
    I always buy my bolts at the same hardware store... He will hear about this.

    needless to say I am done working on my ski for a while.!

    stop eating so much spinich popeye...lol did you use s.s. or grade 8 most s.s. bolts are about a grade 2 to 5 they just dont rust as bad. run a tap down the holes to clean them out.

    MAY BE THEM DAMN ROLLED THREADS ...you may wish to run taps and dies on your new fasteners to 'CLEAN UP' the threads ...I always run em on old stuff to clean out the sealers and old locktights..
