    Bypass the dash, SL750

    Hi, newbie here

Any help on bypassing the dash, we have a 94 SL750 with a burnt dash. The thing runs good, but the low fuel rev limiter wont let up. I did a search but couldn't find anything.

Before I am bombarded with PM's from salesman, I don't want a new dash, I would rather just bypass it. My brother bought it from a customer at his Polaris dealership since they couldn't get the dash to fix it for him. We would like to keep this ride on the cheap.

    Thanx
    Sean

    Welcome to the Hulk!

What do you mean by "burnt dash"?
Do you mean burned, as in fire?
    Or just not working?

Are you referring to the MFD digital LCD display, or something else?

The digital display is dead, shows nothing at all.

Its the oval shaped one that fits in the foam. From what my brother could find, it also fits the SLT785's.

Romeo, can you tell us the last four digits of the HIN number plate on the rear deck, and perhaps a photo or two of the boat, and motor area?

It is possible it is just a blown fuse, which is located inside the electrical box.

If you have not already, download the beerdart re-scanned PDF 1992-1998 Service manual.

Have a look at the diagnostics section.

What tests have you done so far, what were the results?

If it's in the handle bar pad,it's a '95 and newer. Or a very strange '94. Here's the 1994 parts list from Polaris.

Like Beers says, there is no Limp Mode, I'd be looking at your fuel system and Carbs for problems.

Awesome info man, I just read through it and I don't believe the display has a thing to do with it. We will run it through the testing procedures tonight and see what happens.
    Thanx
