    It has begun

Well I purchase my 06 GPR in Oct 05, I could not sleep that night. 2 days later I was out for brake in. Half way thou the second tank of gas I pined it for a good 5 seconds and the smile on my face started to hurt. The only thing I did was step the sponsons. 2 1/2 years later the time has come to dig in. In March I received a box form Green Hulk. Christmas in March rules! 1 FF plate, 1 1200 grate, and 1 14/20 DF. I found a riva D plate and a pump plug kit on e-bay. OK so here I go, I pulled the pipe off, removed the head, did a RX951 method pump reinforcement, bilge tube removed, WFO ceramic pump bearings, I got to say Jim's plate was the best looking item I bought. I must have stared at it for an hour. The wife was starting to get worried. So I have my first question, on the 06, what controls the electric bilge pump?

Time to start putting some parts in you should be very happy. If the electric bilge is not working on the electrical box take out the round cover and see if the 3 amp fuse is burned, If it is most likely you will need to change the bilge because it's locked up and causing the fuse to blow.

It should run only when you turn the motor off and for a short period of time. I ended up putting mine on a switch so I can turn it on and off if needed.

OK,Today I removed the black box between the water box and the exhaust outlet. Cut the hose and lined it up for a pipe. removed the stock mount for the bilge pump, I plan to use it on the other side of the wall to get it closer to the bottom. and installed the shoe. This was the hardest thing so far. It took a hour to get the shoe to fit up. But I got it just right. Who could do it wong with all the talk of shoe install around here.
