The Riva intake grate will slow you down. Also, you don't need the Powershot fuel tuner on a stock motor.

his problem is different. He is running the powershot fuel tuner thus making it run too rich. another member did the same thing and as soon as he removed it it went back to normal. Also the intake grate scrubs some top speed.

You cant run the fuel tuner only, needs pulley too.

The R & D Powershot can be adjusted into many different configurations, but you need a AFR Gauge to tune it, other wise you are just guessing, and run the danger of running to lean or to rich.

And the Top Loader intake grate will scrub speed in smooth water dramatically.

First off how did you get a RIVA top loader Intake Grate??????

Also who sold you a Power Shot controller. Yank that thing off and save it for the pulley kit.

Before you go spend a bunch of your money you should read up on stuff around here or at the Project 250 site. Man it will save you alot of money and head aches.

Put the credit card and the phone down and walk away from them. Now sit here for a day or two and do a search on all your parts you think you want and find out what they do and how they work. Also see how others have done and read on their input.

This is semi related to this thread, but is the 08 250x slower than the 07? My 07 has run 65.6.67.8 consistently since the 10 hour break-in. The only slight difference is 93 octane vs 91 octane.

It seems that what I've been reading is the 08 is a tad slower, but yes I do realize the speed limit mandate by USCG.

SO in my greenie best: what were the conditions when you ran stock vs running now? how much gas, wind, temp, humidy, fuel grade, tune ups, chop etc??????

    Hooah!
