    Same as a 9v there are 6 AAAA batteries in there.(I think they are smaller than AAAs)

    HHAAHAHA hall pass dont do that theres battery acid in those big batterys i think if you touch battery acid it will mess up your skin

    yea, it really just doesn't add up. One AA battery is 1.5v for a regular alkaline. If it were as simple as there being only 32 AA batteries in a lantern battery it would be a 48v lantern battery..

    They may not necessarily all be wired in series, probably 4 series of 8 wired in parallel to increase amperage.
