    Aluminium Intake Manifold

Hi I was just wondering if anybody has purchased the Alum intake manifold from the online store, and had a chance to test it yet. Hows the acceleration, mid range, and top end,do you lose any top speed? Thanks

The aluminum manifold gets you quicker acceleration and throttle response, as its more of a direct path for the intake charge after the throttle body, as compared to the twists and turns of the OEM unit...You also gain a little boost, because not much is lost compared to the OEM...

Its also recommended for people turning high boost SC's and Turbo setups...

Are you questioning his extensive testing?

Is that what you call it? What's the best case? You gain a tenth of a second off the line? Brp did there homework on this engine...it's pretty tough and fast. Kawi or Yamaha couldn't do better and they had years to try.

Remember the Kawi guy's saying,"Wait till Kawi get's there product out, they don't release it till it's right"?

I feel like if you had 50 K to put in R and D you couldn't gain anything substancial. Put 50 K in the head ya. You could gain something. 50 K in the SC, you'll have something special. In a boosted motor, a 2 hundred dollar air intake will give you (forsure) more gain than any Alumium air intake. It is a waste of time!

Im curious, how do you explain the guys runnin a lil more boost and having the intake explode? May be there isnt a big gain, but wouldnt it be more of a quality issue?

I went off what is listed on the description in Jerry's store...

    Aluminum Intake Manifold
Improves acceleration and throttle response and will increase boost by 1 psi over the stock intake manifold.
