HOUR METER / true or false

I have seen some Doo's for sell that have extremely low hours for sale, my question is this. Is it possible to unplug the hour meter or to reset the it with BUDS ?

you cannot reset the total run time hours with b.u.d.s., just the service timer. you can only reset the hours with a new ecu or cluster i can't remember, but i think it's ecu.

No you cant change the hours, there is no way to fool the system. If you replace the ECU the hours are stored and you transfer the info to a new ECU. I dont know of any tricks to reset the hours?

Some of us have low hour skis. I have an 04 RXP with 32 hours on it. 10 of those hours were MB last year.

Thanks for reaffirming what I already knew, its just like turning the odometer back on a vehicle and is absolute fraud.

you can also unplug it off the cluster so the hours are on the ski but not on cluster
