I had one before and I pushed it with a Polaris SLT780. The 780 pushed it with no problem. Load it down with gear and kids, still no problem but you can bank on wearing out pumps and wear rings. MAJOR cavitation.
The GPR should push it like there is no tomorrow but it may be a b!tch to manover near docks since the GPR has no reverse. The other thing you will do to your GPR is scratch up the rub rails.

Kirk, i bought one this winter... all i want to do is cruise it to the island about a mile away (in a lake)... i am scared about premature engine failure with the additional weight... i have a 99xll 1200... How was your overall experience... any tips would be appreciated...

I loved the one I had but it got to be a pain. Everyone wnated to go "ride" and If I wanted to go somewhere on the ski without the boat, it meant a trip to the river to pull the ski out and put on another trailer. At the end, the ski stayed with the boat all of the time. As my kids started getting older, they wanted to take off on the skis so I sold mine and bought more skis.
As for what it can do to the ski; the main concern is the pump and liner. For the engine, I would think it would be ok; the only thing I would worry about is detination due to the constant load on the motor. Make sure you keep fresh gas in it and that either you switch to premix or properly secure your oil lines and you should be fine. If you lose an oil line while pushing the s/c, the motor will heat up real fast and you will loose a cylinder very quickly.
Like I said, I loved mine. We put 4 kids, coolers, chairs, you name it, and went all over in it. Stereo cranked and all. The set up turned a lot of heads too. Be prepaired to answer a lot of questions at most any boat ramp.

I bought some stuff that helpped alot for the mildew but I forgot what it was. Go to Wesmarine, in store or on line. They have a big selection to choose from.
Have fun with the boat, you WILL love it. The best part is; with working lights, you can now run your PWC at night.
    Drop me a line anytime.

I know someone that has the 18 Ft model and he loves it. He uses it with a Yamaha VX110 Deluxe and with 1 person on the PWC and 4 people in the boat he gets about 25 MPH (GPS). He is also plans on building a similar model soon because the company that made the original are no longer building them. He says you double the fun, a PWC and a boat. I'm going to hook-up my '07 Seadoo RXT to see how it works.

Chris, I just got through cleaning my inlaws pontoon boat that hasnt been used much in the last 3 years. The best thing that I found to use was Tilex. It is a household cleaner used to clean showers etc. Spray it on, gently scrub it and it worked GREAT. Dont try to save money by buying the cheap stuff, it doesnt work NEAR as well. I tried that too.
