***255 HP X Ski Warranty Service Bulletin Information ***
Attached is a .pdf file which is the warranty service bulletin for affected serial numbered 255 HP X model machines.
This is not a recall.. it's a warranty service bulletin, to be correct in the terminology.
It is concerned with an exhaust hose potentially becoming dislodged from it's exhaust connection. It is also related to the supercharger outlet hoses that are under boost popping off the intercooler.
They have found that the hoses were improperly / excessively lubricated, and due to increase boost and backpressures of the high HP x-models they are blowing off the hoses.
see the attached file to see if your serial number falls in the category of a warranty campaign.

in my opinion..i'll be perfectly honest and say 90+ % of the dealers out there are not going to start going thru their paperwork of bills of sales finding each customer that is affected and giong out of their way to call them and say hey, bring your machine in, there's an update for it.... service departments in the powersports industry just aren't geared that way typically.. but there are some that will run a tight ship and a good reputable business that way
i would keep a VERY close eye on the problem areas, put your 10 hours on it, and then bring it in for the service and bulletin updates all at once. no sense in making two trips.. IF IT WAS ME

Shibby, is it possible for the ski to sink if the exhaust hose comes off and it's not noticed? Can the bailer tubes remove that much water?... Ron

it is a 360 mile round trip from were I live on the north Est coast of England(South Shields) to the west coast of Scotland (Irvine)

the bailer tubes will not keep up with the volume of water entering the hull via the exhaust.. so yes, continued operation if the exhaust hose pops off will put your engine under water

you VIN # which is on the back platform rivoted to your ski hull.
it will say CA-YDVxxxxx and then any combination of a letter followed by 3 numbers...
so like YDV12345A808 ....
you are only concerned with the middle 5 digits... look at the document i attached and see if your middle 5 digits of your VIN # falls into the affected listing of units
