RPX-X Waterbox Mod
Ok I am going to do a thru hull exhaust and mod the waterbox. I checked out the waterbox modding thread and it is pretty straight foward. I cut the end off of my RXP-X's water box tonight and of course it is different. There is no longer a baffle plate. There is was seems to be like a false floor on the bottom that starts in the front of the box (closest to the motor) and goes about half way to the back of the box. So where should I cut this box short? Also does anyone know if the Riva thru hull kit will work with the exhaust outlet on this box? I have removed the IC and I'm going to relocate it. I am trying to save myself some work. Here are some pics of the waterbox.

beach bum , where do you ride out of brig??
i ride out of deebold boatyard, back by the boat ramp.
got a little place across the street from deebolds.
you got your ski already and riding?? niceeeee
weve probably crossed paths riding around in the summer, inlet wave jumping or at the cove.
are you shortening your waterbox or just gutting it??

yep i know the boat, you guy have a nice setup there next to seatow.
i'd be spending my summers on that boat, skip right over the seadoo
i only got a 03 gtx sc or a xpdi, puttin in a greenbox at the moment, so i cant comment on waterbox for the RXPX.
but i would think it will be same procedure as for the previous year boxes
just drill your thru hull in the RIVA location so if any other new versions of greenbox come out you will be set.
are you familiar with older rxp or rxt exhaust setups and shorty boxes??

somerear exhaust kits utilize the stock box configuration, while others use a shorty box, which has the exhaust exit pipe to teh rear of th box.
take a pic of the side of the box, with the 2 pipes sticking out th top, so we can see what we are working with and how it compares to boxes of previous years.
the old j pipe used to come into the top of the box at an angle, this one looks like it comes in right thru the front weld on the top of the box??
