    2007 Utopia top speed

My 07 Utopia seems a little slow on the top end. (49 mph on GPS) Kind of thought something with the H.P. this thing has would do a little better. Any suggestions as to increasing top speed? Local elavation is about 1500' above sea level.

My 2006 Utopia has hit 54.5 mph on GPS @ 900 ft. What rpm are the motors running?

About 7300 on both sides. Funny thing is it's the fastest when right full of fuel.

Last year I've had it upto just under 50. This year first time out the speedo was reading 54ish. I was real surprised. Only thing different is right now its cooler than when I was running last year. It was probably high 70's.

I haven't hooked my GPS up to it yet but by the dream-o-meter I'm averaging 56-57 mph. I'm re-wiring a bunch of stuff as we speak and once I get the GPS installed I'll take it out and get an accurate reading.

Hey jimb, I was looking on the SeaDoo parts online store and noticed that they offered a different control handle on the 2007's. Got any pics of it? The one on my boat is hard to hold on to and shifting from forward to revearse is kind of tough. I want to upgrade and thought the 2007 looks like the Teleflex control. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

I don't have any pictures, still in storage. Winter lasts a long time in BC, especially this year. i don't think you would gain anything by changing the shifter, mine is a P.I.A to shift also.

Just outside Castlegar in Thrums. Spend most of our time on the Arrow lake, Slocan 2 or 3 times a year, Kootenay lake once in a while & the Kootenay river couple times a year.
