    possible short?

i was looking at getting an sl 750 and the guy claimes that there is a short that was caused by the battery tipping over during a ride. does this sound possible? and if so where is the short most likely to be? thanks for the help

    More details would be helpful.

If the battery was not strapped down, and it was bouncing around loose in there, it could have pounded on the electrical box and/or wiring. What does it look like around the electrical box?

There could be crush damage to the wiring, and it could affect multiple wires, in more than one spot. In which case you could be looking at lots of testing with a meter to find and fix the broken and weakened wires.

Or the electrical box was also bouncing around, and there are loosened connections inside. Might just need some wires reconnected inside, or a replacement box, depending on the damage level.

What state is the SL750 in now?
Does it run? Anything electrical not working?
