How far should I mill a 440 head??

I have a spare head that I want to mill into a high comp head. I know that you can do it without messing with the dome but I'm not sure how much to take off. Any ideas?? I need to know how much to take off and what octane that would make it run on.

Any idea on what kind of compression that will give me? I'm at fairly low elevation.
