XPL Handlebars and finger throttle advice

I want to put new bars and a finger thottle on my 99 XPL. I would like the bars to be wider than stock. I am about 5ft 10 in if that helps. Also need advice on a good finger throttle set up. I realize alot comes down to preference, but figured somebody would have an opionion that might help with my decision. Thanks.

For the XPL I highly recommend the UMI steering assembly. It changes the turn angle and helps better position the rider, more positive steering and control. The OEM steering assembly is almost up and down then when combined with longer bars actually causes more grief. I couldn't even ride the damn thing without it.

The UMI angled throttle lever is great too.

Bars kind of depend on rider preference. If you have a cycle shop nearby see if you can actually get a grip on a few different sets.

JayZ is the guy to ask. He made a set of extensions for the stock bars that were perfect. They added 1.2" to each side and even had the factory hex in the insert.

Add ODI clamp-on grips (rouge) and a good throtle. Don't forget the $9 seadoo throtle adapter.

That sounds like a good option! Does "jayz" sell these? How can I get In touch with him? I see that you are from Newburg, I go out at Stony Point.

I have a set of PPG extended bars that I had on my xpl a few yrs ago.
I'll let them go for 50.00 shipped.

    Paypal is good.

They are the same OEM bend & are 1 3/4" longer on each end. I used ODI grips with the end clamps on it & never had an issue.
