Thread: Intake explodes

Has this happened to anyone else? After installing my rrfpr I hit he start button and BOOM . My guess is it is from the fuel left in intake after cycling pump a few times to set rrfpr. Holy chit man it was like a bomb going off thank god the seat wasn't on probably would have done a lot more damage. I dont have any pics until I remove the intake as it blew apart on the bottom. I will have to pull apart later because right now I need to clean my shorts. What do you guys think happened?

If you listen when you cycle key you can here injectors or what sounds like injectors clicking after pump cycles.

You may have a leaky injector? Pull the injectors off and cycle the fuel on/off/on a couple of times, do you see any fuel leaking from any injectors?

Leaky injectors would cause a hydra-lock, wouldn't blow the intake. You'd need to ignite the charge in the intake rather than the cylinder for that to hapen. Could it be a stuck-open valve?
