    Crank shaft locking tool ????

    When using the factory tool are the thread supposed to go all the way in like the pics in the engine manual mine only goes in half way ,,so I rotated 180 degrees and it goes in less so I rotated back 180 again

    No, it does not go all the way in.

    Thanx steve I'm assuming that the hole it goes in the furthest id the correct hole on the crank for proper indexing??? is the other end the cam shaft lock????? right now I have a half inch bolt in there

    You assume correctly. I used the other end to center the crank hole. Not sure if that is it's purpose. I dont think that end will fit in the head for the cam, but I don't remember trying.
