    Auto Drop Trouble.....

    Hey guys,

I need some help/advice/parts! I have a Riva Pro Series Auto Drop combo (as pictured) and I took it apart last weekend; I managed to break one of the bolts that attaches to the steering nozzle! [email protected]#$^ loctite!

I'm talking about the piece that screws into the steering nozzle, with the ball on top, that the rod rotates on to allow for the nozzle to turn (drop).

So here's my situation - I called Riva; they don't make this anymore, and they use different hardware on the nozzle now. A guy is looking around to see if they have something, but he's not sure. SO -

    1. Does anyone know if the new hardware thread is the same as the old, so I can get new ones and use them?

    2. Does anyone have this type of arm/screw laying around I could beg/borrow/steal/purchase?

    3. Does anyone know where I can get this specific piece?

Any help would be appreciated - I don't want to replace the entire nozzle over a flipping bolt......

    Thanks,
    Sean

    Hey Philip,

Not sure what you mean about using one from the OEM? The bolt I broke is one of the two that have the ball end on them on top of the steering nozzle (upper left or upper right, either one). The rod sits on them at a 90deg angle, and controls how far the nozzle turns left and right.

I need one of those. Or need to know if the new style (with a Hex head top) will thread in.

    Thanks in advance!

Did you try browsing through Mcmaster and doing some measuring on the good one?

    Yes

That's the answer. I got my hands on a new style auto drop (THANK YOU DUKE) and took the bolts out - they thread just fine. So I can order the new style hardware and fix my Pro setup.

    Thanks for the input guys!
