i believe so. The notches are to balance the wheel and the scuff look is from the machining on teh front housing.

No worries, Some look worse than others. They are not real pretty but they work GOOD.

guys i need your help i went to switch from my s2 charger to this s3 charger
the s2 is well balanced and no marks.

when we put the s3 supercharger impeller on the shaft and torqued to specs as per riva full instructions impeller spinns freelly with no issues.

once we put the black cover (outer) on the s3 and put the bolts not even snug yet THERE IS A TOUCH DOWN ON THE FACE

    WHAT DO I DO???

Dave, check to make sure you don't have any end play in the shaft. .008 is about the acceptable limit. If you have more than that it's time for new bearings.

i am frustrated as my dealer is not close how do i cheke for the .008 limit.

i have your ceramic bearings in there and i got brand new metal bearings in hand my s2 spun complettly freely and with no slow down the s3 i got had a previouse touch down but seems normal i got to get her done or im going back to my s2 and leave it that way.

You use a dial indicator to check end play but looking at your pics above it doesn't look that bad???? Looks like normal tip clearance wear from what i can see in the pics.
