    Question J-Pipe Clamp

Ive loosened the nut and tapped on it and banged on it and still won't open. It is loose but the clamp is not off so can i still move the j-pipe or does that clamp have to open ? Any other suggestion on how to open the clamp so I can remove the J Pipe to take s/c off (First time doing this)

once you loosen the bolt real good then squeeze the clamp closed with your hand. you will see how the bolt unhooks from the clamp. just look at the part of the bolt that is hooked to the clamp. you will see it is like a T shape. that is what will unhook from the clamp

Ive figured out how it comes out actually my g/f has but damn it dont want to come off..you need to much leverage and not enough room to push on it.... hammer it where? i understand you have to close it but to pop it off but i still cant get it..been doing this for the past 4 days workin on it...

I dont even remember if I took my clamp off. Just wiggle the J pipe off and leave the clamp there. You may have to unhook the strap that holds the water box in place

Ive already unhooked the strap and wiggled the pipe and tried to leave the clamp on but still will slide out.... Once ever i get this clamp off,can i use a t bolt clamp to put on cuz i have a feeling im going to destroy this clamp if i ever get it off..I push on it and gets so close but cant get it to unhook..
