I just picked one up from west Marine on Saturday... $25, has a removable key, and looks pretty clean. I originally had a Hella unit with removable key, but it kept vibrating loose and falling into the hull (pain in the a$$)
I can let you know how it works out.

The key on the new switch locks in place, so it should have less of a tendency to fall out... Also, the switch can be covered in the back (hiding terminals) as a mild deterent to joyrides looking to take your ski.
So far, I like it.. I mounted it to the intermediate wall. I will get to pics soon.
Also, what do you mean by sticking the starter? You mean keeping it engaged?

Ya sticking the starter. "It stays On!!"
If you are looking for a theft ALARM on a GPR... NOW THAT IS EASY!
splice the cat sensor wire, any one of the two wires. (the same one that you have to put a bypass chip in or resistor).
Run one side to a switch and back.
when the switch is in the "OPEN" postion. The ski won't start. and the alarm will go OFF!! and we all now how LOUD THAT IS!
