    X model handlebars

Breaking in my P-X and there was a point when I was doing some hard pulls and as I got low and absorbing some of the chop I was pulled back and the handlebar slipped to a different position, a lower one. Has anyone else experienced movement? Will need to tighten, actually like where it slipped to - not as tall and weird looking, more low profile.

Dont want it to do that too much. Itll take the knurling off the mounts.

Every X I have come across has had loose bolts holding the steering unit together.

It's not adjustable on the fly. You need to unscrew it then move it and retighten it. So it's not really something to do in the middle of a ride while sitting in the middle of the lake.

No definitely not a grip to fit while riding type deal - definitely something to insure it's tight before flight.

Tall and weird looking is right! Ive already taken the handlebar pad off to see if a regular bar pad will fit ok. Im thinkin different handlebars at this point, maybe even a UMI setup. Looks like even a shorter X riser would help. Aftermarket maybe someday. My X showed up yesterday and it shure is shiney! Dyin to ski, its been along hard winter here in Iowa.

Are you saying the height of the steering column is adjustable? How do you adjust it?

Finlander, NO I think he meant handle bars slip towards him = lowering the position. Do your arrow from your picture, front high to the sky pointing and down towards your seat. I don't like the handlebars, they are to short and easy to eject, I almost did during break in test.

Shame, I want to get the column lower. I'm thinking maybe using aftermarket raisers from a Ski-Doo instead of that X-looking thing with the DESS.

Anyone else noticed the bars are about 2" lower in BRP's X-pictures than in real life?
