    Where to find cylinder heads for an 800r?

    and what size domes would work best for high humidity at sea level? Thanks

    well, you must know Carl with IR plate you have, so call him. He has a couple options but I think he will steer you towards a protec head.
    I have my stock head cut for tighter squish and 150 lb compression, but I can't help you with dome size because my cyls are bored to 84mm.

    did you have to have your carbs adjusted when you went up in compression?

    yup, but I had to adjust for porting, big bore, advanced timing, VF3 reeds and compression. its not hard to make that motor a screamer
    I had Carl mod my carbs for more airflow remove chokes etc. - rejet, 2.3 N/S and 115g spring. rejetted highs 155 and 115 low. I might be off on these #s as I don't have my notes.
    your boat will require much different setup. if you are looking for increased power do the 3 degree keyway, mod the carbs, raise the comp. reasonable costs for good gains

    I have a pro-tec rec head available and carbs already set up for it.

    Not to Hijack this thread....but how's your BB motor coming along?????


    I also have a Pro-tec head w/35cc domes (pump gas @ 700' above sea level 165psi). I also have two blank domes you could have cut for whatever compression you want. Pm me for price.

    Im waiting for the cylinders to come back, hoping in the next week or two, they are at millenium now. Then lowel just has to cut the pistons for me.
