    Question Crazy question...

Does any fuel/oil mix ever cross over from the crankcase to the stator area? If not, what keeps that are lubricated.. If so, what keeps that area from getting mucked up?

the mag crank seal keeps it out of the stator...

the flywheel doesnt get lubed, only the grease on the bendix,,,, or in my case with the snout support i have to change that self lubing bearing every 50 hours..

So what keeps the grease from wearing out or washing away from the hot/cold temp changes the engine goes through? Is this just a every couple of years maintence thing? Tear down and greas the bendix/stator?

The stator does not need any lubrication. The bendix only spins when the starter is engaged so as long as there are no leaks allowing water into the stator cover it will be fine.

The bendix see's use so briefly, I do not believe it requires periodic maintenance. I could not even find any PM for it in the manual.
