    whats next for my 06 rxp? neep help!

    this is what i have. I need more

    rotax racing level 1 from mark underwood
    new sc impeller (new one)
    42 lb injectors
    4" air intake
    light weight retainers and washers
    light weight cam gear
    boat has been gutted very light
    skat 14/19 and adjustment rings (on the way)
    riva grate
    riva sponsons
    riva pro block offs
    trued ride plate
    umi system


    I am now turning a 15/20 8400rpms and running 77 mph.

    what do i need next im almost there. i need to be at 80mph!

    please put your 2 cents in.

    seems the ski could/should be running faster considering what u got in it... i know people with same mods just different intercooler running 79-80 with those mods in wamer weather than u r

    i'd have to say you have 4 options... any one of these or a combination of them:

    1. sell the rotax IC and get a Vortech
    2. get a race cam
    3. Les B-kit and BtTeks fuel controller and map
    4. Nils' monster aggressive ported head with oversized valves

    1. depends how much u get for your Rotax IC, pay the difference for a vortech

    2. race cam is $1290

    3. Les b-kit is about $1500 (depends if u send ur core OR if u buy a COMPLETE kit) plus fuel controller and maps another 800 bucks http://www.seadoocentre.com.au/superchargers.htm

    see jerry's online store for fuel maps and controllers

    4. Nils' work... give him a call (805) 495-3832 ... it's not cheap couple hundred buck work, but from what i hear the difference is

    what are your boost readings? how "modded" is your exhaust? when's last time u cleaned out your intercooler? do u run a catch can or stock crank vent setup? i personally think there's still speed somewhere in your current setup, but given the results of others, seems the Rotax IC does not yield the same boost levels and performance as a Vortech/Riva unit, i have no first hand experience with that, just trustworthy testing of people like Green Hulk

    oh i for got thru hull exhaust.
    also getting ready to put a boost gauge in the ski.
    I really need this thing to go 80 mph before nationals

    So you went from 73.2 at 8280
    with just air intake/ecu with 14/19

    to

    77.5 at 8400
    with addition of new RR SC, IC and 140 more rpm spinning a 15/20

    just 4mph gain from above. Seems you should be getting more, just doesn't add up. I'd check your boost guage and see what your getting and do what Shibby said.

    Your 77.5mph stage III ski is running as fast as Jerry's wifes stage II

    I know this is a beat!
    Now truthfully I havent tuned it at all yet now that i just bolted all that stuff on and went racing. THEN TOOK THE VALVE OUT!
    gETING THAT BACK IN THIS WEEK. What do you think i should do.
    I really want to see what i can do with this 14 skat

    Steve just described my engine, options 1, 2, 3, and 4....except I am keeping the RR IC...

    If you can send me a picture of your air intake. I could stop over since it is only 6 miles away. Im not turning but 8050 RPM this weekend on my RR race ECU and have not found the problem.

    just added the skat trak ring adjustment. IM NOW RUNNING 78.7MPH AT 8360RPMS.


    what is next?????
