    Pump spec needed.

I looked in the manule and seen a three specs for the pump/ impeller. I don't think it is listed.
What Is the clearance between the trailing edge of the impeller and the pump suppose to be at?

I know Mine is way to large (now I am doing it twice). but any ideas?

Yes, I guess. There is a grove in the housing of the stator that the hub of the impeller sets "OVER", What is the clearance between the hub and the stator?

There is no spec for that. The impeller "set back" is determined when you install the shaft into the bearings (pump stator hsg).

To change the impeller set back, you would either add washers behind the impeller to move it forward or machine the impeller hub to set it back.

I sorry WFO. I changed the pump shaft and am trying to figure out if I did it wrong or not? I went by the spec in the book when I did it. I am just questioning it after a real high RPM. I am double checking it all right now.

Usually if you dont press the bearings correctly, the prop hits the hub... or you cant get the cone to go on the rear.

I dont think your high rpm problem is in the pump.
