    06 engine 07 electronics

would this work? Is there something I have to do in order for this to work? I wast thinking about taking an extra engine to mudbug just incase. I might be going up with Geo and you know how his bad luck is.

I'm not too sure...the old mem on the 06's was replaced on the 07's and there is some computer stuff in the dash unit. Maybe the basic wiring to make it run would be okay but I do know they did change some electrics on the 07's vs earlier years.

Billie PMed me and dragging me in here

the blocks are gonna be the same mechanically... 05 to 06 was the big change where you cannot throw a 05 block into 06+ electronics and vice versa... front pump housing reasons, crank position sensor reasons, the crank itself, and a few other things...

so given ur topic here... you have an 07 ski... and u want to bring along a spare 06 motor.. correct?

how complete will this 06 motor be? sensors and all and ready to drop in?

... yea you can put the 06 motor in the 07... electronics are TOTALLY different from 06 to 07, but the engines are not.

but, some of the sensors are my concern... i know certain years they switched the logic of the oil pressure sensor and something else... so either start cross referencing sensors if ur spare motor is gonna be drop in ready to go... or if it's gonna be a complete block with no sensors then that'll be easy to swap everything over..

    it'll work
