The intake grate on the RXP-X has a very aggressive scoop. If you cut the outer wings of the scoop off you significantly decrease drag. It will get you atleast 2mph on the top end. I did not notice any difference in hook up. Here are some pics after I was done cutting the wings off. I would highly doubt a dealer would notice this.

So you say that you didn't lose any holeshot acceleration? What about the sea doo not feeling as well planted? I am trying to decide to keep the stock grate or just go with the riva. THanks

Well one way of looking at it is if you decide to go with the Riva grate then chances are you're not going to be putting the stock one back on. So for the cost of your time to remove and replace the grate one extra time, just try the stock grate mod first for only the cost of your time and effort.

Because of the "curved" scoop on the stock X grate, the riva X grate is gonna be the cheapest, most effective, and safest mod for the X. We NEED a wing, but not that speed-limiting curve the stocker has....

Thuy, I think it's time for you to invest in a helmet..haha. Who knows, next time I look over, you might be flying over the front of your jetski. 2.7mph gain is a lot, do it!!!
