    Top Speed on GPR

I know they say that the top speed on a 07 GPR is 65mph. On my GPS I am reading anywhere between 70-75 mph. Are hese numbers right? The ski is completely stock.

Do as suggested above. 70-75 on a stock ski is a wide range. Also see if you can obtain another gps to use also.

Is the GPS mounted solid, or are you just throwing it in the glove box? The GPS might be "spikeing" if it is not mounted solid.

It is mounted solid. Limited shaking. Chris, yes I am on the Tennessee river. Although, the water was very smooth yesterday. Also, I ajusted the sponsons down and it seemed like my take off wasnt as strong. Would that cause that?

You should turn the ski off and float with the gps on. Note how fast you are going. Then go run. Deduct speed of current from the gps speed ran on the ski.
