    2008 250x maintence

    what is the required maintence on the 250x i heard every 10 hrs the s/c belt has to be tightened is that true also what else is required thanks

    Not trying to come off as a smart a## but the best thing to do is look in your manual. I think Kawai recommends a you take it to your dealer after 10 hrs but this is more of an inspection. Again check your manual and it well tell you what to do. Great ski and you will enjoy it.

    i dont own one so no manual and no where to download it. i'm asking because i want to know the up keep for the ski incase i buy it . i have been waiting for a sho now 2 extra months i grow tired of this , so i am considering a 08 250x.

    thanks have u had a gio problem on yours and how did u break it in easy or hard

    Medium, try to keep cylinder pressure steady to give the rings a good seat. Vary loading on the engine. No need to abuse it. GIO hasnt been much of an issue, it does smell like fuel but hasnt affected the oil level to the point of it rising noticeably. Im going to fix that though.

    I dont think anyone with an 08 has the gio problem. There is a different setup on the crankcase.

    I broke mine in pretty hard with no issues.

    got an 07, no gio issues, broke it in like I stole it. first 20 minutes low to medium, after that all over the show for 5-10 minutes.
