    pneumatic stabilisers

I was looking through some pictures of pwc,s and found some pics of jet ski,s with them on the back. Can anyone explain how they work and what exactly do they do. Also who sells the kits or the components to make them.
    thanks

Are you talking about adjustable trim tab system. I think this is what your talking about. A set of tabs that bolt to the back of the ski that pivet down by the use of a lever on the bars.

This acts as a dump nozzle as well just with a little differant affect.

Basically drops the nose of the boat to control it in various conditions. Starts, turns, chop to regain hookup, and going striaght to slow the craft and set it for a turn. Also lengthens the ski a little. Mostly used in rough water or race conditions.

I have seen Hydraulic but not air. Most are just cable and lever.

Although on bigger runabout boats as in Searays and such they do have big hydraulic tabs which are more used to control list from side to side.

    Hope this helps
