Questions about the new SS grate....
I ordered one this morning but I have some questions about this grate. I need one either way because it will be much safer than the other options. Will it act like the 800 grate or 1200 grate or a mixture of both????
With the 1200 grate my setup roars from the hole like crazy but tends to buck a little at speed. (Now I have the dual reliefs and havent tested the 1200 since this update, not sure if the dual reliefs will fix the 1200 grate buck???)
With the 800 grate the buck is gone with the valves and the boat runs at speed as smooth as can be, BUT the holeshot is horrible. Its hits the limiter hard coming off the line. I just blow the prop away with the 800....
Just wandering what testing has shown with this new grate????

I just cant get the 800 grate to be competitive enough to leave it on ALL the time. Top speed sure but the holeshot is very very slow. I cant drag race with it....
Since we have the new grate it would be nice to be able to use it for all around use (holeshot, speed, etc.)
I dont understand how some of you guys use the 800 grate all the time....if I could improve prop spin with it then it be the ultimate....

Now, if i can recoup my initial investment on this first grate i might make another style grate if there is enough interest. This second grate is basically a cross between the 800 and 1200 grate and is a Tommy Jordan creation. I already have the step files for this grate from when Tommy sent me his grate a year ago to digitize. I just need to have a mold built to move forth into production. Again, i will only go that far with the TJ grate if this first grate is a success. I'm still a long way off from having enough pre orders to even break even.

I hope you retrieve your investment and then some. Good luck with that.
Every one needs to get on board here and help us all out......
