    REV Limiter

Hey guys, your input on the following problem would be appreciated, new impeller from impros and pump seal kit installed on the weekend, cavitation on tight turns is now fixed but from a standing start if I go WOT I hit the revlimiter for a few seconds, takes off harder jumps right out of the hole almost a wheel stand or is that pump stand.

Is this a problem or just what to expect.

    thanks,

It didn't happen with either of mine, i'll take greater notice next time I am out. I have Dave's mods and riva plate with 1 degree and I moded the intake grate a bit.

Only thing I felt was a twinge in my gut on hole shot. Gotta love that.

Did you send the whole pump and impeller to Impros or did you just send the impeller by its self?

I can't use the solas for short course racing for that reason.

This is out of box solas, not Impros'ed.

thanks eel was worse with the stock impeller, especially on real hard turns, this is better. and better acceleration.

Same thing happened to mine middle of last season. It ran strong take offs then one day when I hit it WOT from a stand still it would hit the rev limiter a few times from cavitation then finally take off after enough water came in to the pump. Same thing happened 2 my buddy he has a blue one. I decieded to finish rideing out the season and now that I had all the recall work done I had the mechanic @ Kawi dealer check out the pump & impeller. He said the impeller was fine but the pump wall was a bit worn he checked the clearance between the impeller & the pump wall & it was just within specs. He called Kawi & they said they would not pay for a new pump. So now I'm about to call Impros and send them my pump & impeller so they can replace the aluminum wall with a stainless steel wall in the pump & re pitch the impeller as others have done on this forum. Anybody support my decision?
