That would be nice but I'd say the rxp motor has alot of parts out and the yami is just to new. BUT with that kinda cc's in a few years holy cow it could get crazy.... Like turbo 1800cc's!

but the thing I think about is okay so everyone talks about the rxpx engine.. it is so quick and what not. But if you put the rxpx in a SHO hull.. I doubt it will be as fast, or whatever. Because the hull is so big.. If you put a SHO in an RXPX I bet it would HALLPASS everything I just don't know why you would put a Sho in a rxp..

Give it a year for all the upgrades to be worked out. Got to get pass that fly-by-wire throttle.

That front mounted SC makes me think the majority of upgrades will be straight to turbo... or even non-boosted and up the compression.

    sooooo,
    thinking outloud.

-New ECU, or stand-alone ems system. $1000-$3000
    -New SC or turbo. $400-$3000
-New intercooler and some type of placement. $400-$1000
-God only knows what kind of gotchas, that Yamaha will have to either "ignore" or the aftermarket will have to fix.
-Availability. They will be scarce unless you are tied in, or are willing to gut a new watercraft.
-There will STILL have to be hull cuts. Go look at the FX powered GPR conversion. Those engines will be similar.

Not sure if this is the pic you are talking about but the video of cutting up the hull is pretty cool.

Lol, it isnt the RXP-X motor that makes it quick. It is the intercooler upgrade, blower upgrade, intake grate, and pump tunnel that makes it quicker.

    1800cc S/C vs 1500 S/C..... thats a gimme 1800cc wins all day.

that's the pic, but in the Mag, the word "mechanics" isn't covering up the drive shaft and the rear motor mount.

Interesting to see, has anyone noticed in the pics if the tunnel is reinforced considering what the horsepower potential is going to be when moded??? Looks to be the same thickness to me, curious how strong the nanocel is compared to the smc?
