I think the RPM kit is a great investment. You will get increased acceleration AND reach top speeds of 65ish. For an extra 5-6 mph, the kit is worth it.

Well from my experience the best bang for the buck is a SOLAS impeller swap. It'll give you that real -from the seat of your pants feel- It'll have so much more pull out of the hole.

Top speed of the FX HO is closer to 58 than it is to 60. The RPM kit is good but it won't make an HO go 65. Hell, the SHO barely makes 65.

The new nano hull HOs should be a little faster than past HOs but I still don't see them going 65 with just an RPM kit.

The only disappointment I've ever had with my HO has been it's lack of speed. The SHO would surely cure that ill but with a near $20,000 price tag here in Japan, I won't be getting one. Not anytime soon anyways...

    i'm not finished yet either
still have some more things to try when i get time
i should also say that above speed was with a machined R&D plate
i think a machined riva plate will give even more speed (or make it handle bad)
