    (2)RXP's oil prob

    Both of my RXP" had to have ther engines rebuilt after ceramic washer disaster last year. One engine done by dealer one buy Ind. shop. Both have same problem. Blowing massive amounts of oil out engine oil breather into air Intake(RIVA). One thot I have could it be somthing to do with the tops system? ANY HELP?

    If it's blowing it out the breather I'm betting it's overfilled. Warm them up and then check the oil level on the water. I'm willing to bet it's well above the top bend in the dipstick...

    Tube not trying to quetion your knowledge , BUT i was once as sure as you were about my oil levels ... And it was blowing out rite were urs is ... i was getting pissed at people telling me i was overfilled ... you know what , I was ... just triple check it

    yA BUT IF IT WAS OVER FULL WOULD IT NOT BLOW OUT UNTIL LOW ENOUGH NOT TO? bUT IT IS ALWAYS VERY LOW WHEN I'm done ridding.

    OK so what you're saying is that it just continues to blow excessive amounts of oil out even though the oil level gets low...not just when it's overfilled?

    How are you measuring the oil being "blown out"? Do you have a catch can or are you just assuming it's all being expelled out the crankcase vent?

    Just trying to paint a clear picture...

    That is true...No matter how low your oil it's going to expel some...

    Are you measuring it just by observing your intake tubing for oil or do you have some type of catch can installed so you can accurately measure it?

    On mine there's maybe an oz. of fluid in the can after every long weekend ride (a mixture of oil and gas so there's definately a little blow-by with these motors...as would be expected...but nothing that concerns me)...
