Helmets for MB
I've looked all over Houston for a helmet for MB. Apparently the snow/ski/water helmets I like are "seasonal" and this ain't the season. Most online suppliers are out of stock too! I did find one place that has a big selection. Check out the Pro-Tec ACE wake/waterski helmets designed just for watersports. They're light, close-fitting, have ear protection and washable liners, and lots of ventilation:
They even have one perfect for you Sea Doo guys:
Main website is here:
I bought mine here:
They have lots of sizes and colors in stock, and have reasonable shipping charges. Good luck!

Im not sure those helmets are rated for 70-80mph.....

I don't know of any helmet rated for 80 mph that isn't a giant motocross-style helmet, which I won't wear. These are better than no helmet at all.

Feel for us Aussies in the Bridge to Bridge race this weekend, 40 miles and 25minutes at WOT praying that the 800 grate under our GPR's hangs in the whole time....
I'm using my old motocross helmet and hoping its good enough for 80mph.

Those are all great looking helmets. I just don't want to wear a full-face helmet, or spend $270 on one. My post was meant to offer an inexpensive alternative

I dont know about you guys but I prefer some sort of chin protection since that will be the first thing that will have contact with my handlebars...

I prefer not to have my neck broken from the chin guard grabbing the water. It seems to be a compromise on what you're willing to risk. I think there is a greater risk of the helmet grabbing the water than there is for my face hitting the handle bar. Besides, when the grate breaks it throws you off to the side, not over the bars. Been there and done that. The full face helmets would be great for wave jumping though!
Just my two cents - as I said, I was simply offering an alternative.
