    Smile What can i expect?

I have an 04 gp1300r and i have done a few mods to it and i was wondering what sort of performance i should expect when i finally get a chance to take it out on the water??

    Heres what i have fitted:
    r&d power plenium air filter
    r&d trim tabs
    riva ride plate
    riva intake grate
    riva sponsons
    riva efi
    extended pump cone
    de-cat
    jetworks valve

What other mods would you recommend?

cut the back of the tabs off to stock length, slot your stock sponsons, add a 150psi head, send plate off for modding, get a 05 HO pump w/ a DF14/20{maybe repitched by impros to 14/21.5-22},PPK, and seal the shoe should get ya 75+...

I forgot about reeds and keyway that would definatly put ya over 75mph but anyway slotting your stock sponsons are the fastest setup and cutting the extentions off the tabs would increase efficiency=speed...Ya take the middle bolt slot on the sponsons and remove the center plastic make it one slot instead of 2. Then angle rear of sponson to the top slot and front sponson slot to the bottom slot. This is a speed mod not so much for turn capability.

How important is this pump tunnel reinforcement?? i am not looking for just straight line speed as i have other less experianced riders that use the ski so i would like to have good control with the added speed

Its almost impossible to guess the speed with that setup, if your not worried about speed then what you have will probably handle great and be slightly faster on top than a stock ski. If you do want more speed, I would cut the tabs flush with the hull, and angle the ride plate more.

Do a search on pump tunnel. Its a must do. The tunnel can crack even on stock ski's and your ski will sink and the engine could get water in it. Just a fix it before it breaks mod.

Another great mod I would add is a higher compression head, or get yours modded.

this question might have been asked before but if yamaha are doing a recall for accelorator cables on a gpr why would they not do a recall for pump tunnels if they are another serious fault that could sink a ski??
