    Seadoo waterbox Rave Valve

I took apart my rave valve and I am not convinced I have put it back together properly. Does someone have theirs apart? I am mainly looking for where the bottom of the bellows attaches to the plastic piece. I am also having a hell of a time putting the clamp on the bottom of the bellows where I think it should go.

Mike, if you have the old style RAVE (smaller version) then they may have attached the bottom bellow & clamp before pushing the the center piece in place. The center plastic piece is just pressed in there, and is what usually fails. This piece blows out. See if you can slip it out to reattach the bellow. Gorrilla Glue or equivalent it back into place when done.

The top groove is where the bottom of the bellow attaches. The bellow should have the same contour lip inside as the groove in the plastic piece does. The other two flat grooves in the middle are for locating it inside the housing.

i know what the valve does, it injects water into the pipe dependent on pump pressure and exhaust pressure, but what is the test for a properly working valve. ive taken a valve apart on a ski at the shop i work at that is burning exhaust couplers. all coolant passages in pipe blow and flow clear, water lines correct, valve assembled correctly and flows water but anyway to actually test it? or is it a ride it with the seat off and pull the hose and see when it is and isn't injecting water into the pipe? or run a clear hose to watch the water flow. Ive connected the water feed line from the pump suply line to the garden hose with the valve off the ski, water comes out the bottom port that threads into the waterbox fitting, i can move the valve and i get water out the line that runs to the pipe. moving the valve starts and stops the water flow. but i still get water out the bottom going into the waterbox. is this normal?
