    1997 GSX Sea-Doo jet ski

Yes. My search will not work to let me find this jet ski.. I was just wondering what everyone thought about the 97 GSX Sea-Doo. I am looking to buy it for around 3000 with 100 hours on it. Being new with jet ski's all the advice i can get is helpful. Pros, cons, etc.

I think a gsx is a great starter ski. My first jetski was also a 97 gsx. The motor is a 787/800 rotax 110hp. Mods for it can be found for fairly cheap nowadays. For $3000, I think that jetski better be in mint shape....that's just my opinion though.

Are you from VA? (assuming since your sn is "hokies")

my brother has that exact ski.you can actually see a pic of me jumpin a wave on it in my pic to the left. its a great ski, that does everything very well.he has the gsx & i have a 97 spx that we trade back in forth between everyday. the gsx is a little more stable and larger then my spx so i use it to ride my kids around on.it also has the gauges and bells and whistles.you cant go wrong with it for all around good ski.

I know what you're talking about, I see highschool kids riding their jetskis like they're bumper cars. I never see people giving away skis around here. I got mine about 3 years ago w/trailer for a grand, and the dude towed it to me...still runs great.

edit* 4 years ago...got my gpr for 3 years now
